CORE COMPETENCIES

  1. Fundamentals

  • To fully comprehend and adhere to the Ethical Code Guidelines and elicited standards of the PCG Ltd.

 

  • To be able to make a coherent differentiation between the content and the process required of each individual client’s issues. The issues should be clearly identified from the way the client presents them to the coach/mentor and trainer.

 

  • Constantly looks for options and choices to present the client(s) with than what they have to work with currently.

 

    2. Knowledge

 

  • The history and growth of coaching.

 

  • What makes coaching/ mentoring and training differ from counselling, therapy, training and consulting.

 

  • Full knowledge with the profession topical vocabulary of coaching/ training and mentoring.

 

  • The standard for testing the coaching/ training and mentoring processes and goal s outcome.

 

 

    3. The Coaching/ training and mentoring relationship

 

  • Building rapport in order to create and grow a professional relationship based on mutual respect, trust and understanding between the client and the coach/ trainer or mentor.

 

  • The professional work ethics implies that the client is also responsible for the coaching process as much as the coach/ mentors and trainers in relation to the approach, assignments, and all things related agreed by all parties in the process.

 

  • The coach/ mentor and trainer must build equivalent, interactive partnership with the client(s).

 

 

​    4. Listening

 

  • The coach/ mentor and trainer are in the here and now, in the moment, completely focused and perceptive during the coaching / mentoring and training process, giving the client their undivided attention and supporting the client’s self-expression, focusing on the client’s issues, desired needs, wants, outcomes and goals.

 

  • Be in touch with, and listen to their intuition.

 

​    5. Self-Governance

 

  • The coach/ mentor and trainer should keep their own points of view and self-respect in a way that it does not become entangled with any of the client’s beliefs, values, emotions, etc. the client’s emotions.

 

  • The coach/ mentor and trainer should asses and be able to tell the difference in the messages and feedback the client(s) give.

 

  • The coach/ mentor and trainer are sympathetic to and adjusts to the client’s non-verbal signs/ body language.

 

    6. Questions, Answers and Examinations

 

  • The coach/ mentor and trainer help the client in defining the current in all modalities and detail.

 

  • The coach/ mentor and trainer ask topical, eliciting questions that give in-depth insight, answers and in turn the actions required.

 

  • Delivers a definite, and detailed, eloquentevaluation.

 

  • Puts many different view, angles and perspectives to reframe and clarify the client’s experience to use.

 

  • Assists and supports the client’s growing self-awareness.

 

  • Helps make the client aware of inconsistencies between their thoughts, emotions, wishes, needs, goals and actions.

 

 

    7. Assessment/ Feedback

 

  • Points out to the client their areas of strength and emphasizes and supports their resources.

 

  • Shows the client which negative are holding them back and supports any change they are willing to make to grow.

  • Celebrates the client’s successes.

 

 

    8. Beliefs, Goals and Values

 

  • Must work on the client’s limiting beliefs and negative self-talk with the client in order to overcome them.

 

  • Survey the values and beliefs of the client, making sure that the client is/ becomes aware of them all.

 

  • Never force one’s own beliefs and values on the client(s)

 

  • Work closely with the client(s) to define their needs, wants and goals and check that they are those are in congruence with the client(s) values and beliefs.

 

  • Directly ask for steps to be takes, which will in turn lead the client towards their needs, wants and goals/ dreams.

 

  • Creating and implementing an action plan with steps/ stages of actions and tasks to be completed by the client(s).

 

  • Generates different opportunities for continuing learning for the client(s).

 

  • Prepare and Offer topical tasks for the client(s) to motivate them into moving ahead to reach their needs, wants, dreams and goals.

 

  • Guide the client(s) client in developing a suitable, assessable action plan with a target time frame and specific outcomes.

 

  • Come up with challenges for leading the client(s) past their deemed limitations.

 

  • Make sure that he client(s) is responsible to complete all mutually agreed upon steps, tasks and exercises/ actions.
